For many people, helping others is one of the most personally satisfying experiences in live. If you want to make a difference – right here in your own community – we need you!

Living Well in Newport is a program designed by C&F to assist Newport County residents age 50 and older in remaining in their own homes as they grow older. We know the transitioning lifestyle that accompanies aging does not come with a manual. It is not always easy to accomplish daily chores and errands or handle those odd tasks that only happen every once in a while. Drawing on our local volunteer corps, we hope to provide area seniors with much-needed assistance performing those tasks that are too big to handle alone or too small to hire out or to lend them a hand when they experience a temporary challenge due to injury, illness, weather, etc. Sometimes a little help can make a big difference!

You can help a Living Well in Newport Senior with:

• Gardening
• Household chores
• Transportation
• Snow shoveling
• Grocery shopping and other errands
• Caring for a pet
• Companionship as a friendly visitor, someone to chat with or share a meal with
